Prior to starting my practice in psychotherapy and executive coaching, I practiced as a corporate and transactional lawyer for over 15 years. I have always been interested in how our feelings remain at the heart of our thoughts, behaviours and how we form relationships. In search of greater insight, I embarked on my psychotherapy training at Regent’s University in London. Qualifying as an integrative psychotherapist has given me the ability to use different therapeutic approaches in forming my work with clients. I have been working with clients in a number of different settings. I completed a clinical placement in Wandsworth Bereavement Service where I worked with bereaved clients on loss and grief. Having grown up in Istanbul, Turkey and having lived in different cities over the years has allowed me to see the world through an intercultural lens as I have always been fascinated with communication across cultures. That is why I value my work at Nafsiyat Intercultural Therapy Centre in London where I practice psychotherapy with an intercultural focus. I also work with patients at the Munro Centre in Guy’s Hospital as part of the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust. I also trained as an executive and leadership coach at the Columbia University and continue to practice as a coach. As an executive coach, I draw from my extensive corporate and professional experience combined with coaching skills to support my clients. I focus on areas of transformation coaching as well as doing extensive work on resilience. I work with corporations, start-ups, teams as well as individuals.
